 Looking for the Clarke and Anderson family. This family photo taken in Comber about 1926-1928? was in Charlotte Anderson's photo album. I have written the basic information for this family but I have more information to share if you are interested. Laverne Aitchison <lk.aitch@gmail.com> Mary Ann (Burns) Anderson b abt 1862 Balloo, Down had a son Hugh Clarke Burns b 13 Sep 1879 Downpatrick. This is a picture Charlotte Anderson brought with her when she left Comber in 1928 and arrived in Sherbrooke, Quebec with the Matthews family. 1. I don't know May Clarke's connection to the Clarke family? 2. Alex Heron is a ward of the court and Mary Ann Anderson takes him into her home on High Street, Comber when he is 2 weeks old. The Anderson family lived in one of the cottages beside Dr. Henry's house. Mary Ann Anderson cleaned Dr. Henry's home. When Mary Ann dies in 1919 her daughter Jane (Anderson) Matthews continues Alex's care and Alex comes with the Matthews family along with Charlotte Anderson to Sherbrooke, Quebec in 1928. 3. Charlotte Anderson b 28 Mar 1908 Comber, daughter of Margaret Catherine Anderson 4. Lena (Helena) Anderson b Mar 1910 Newtownards. I think Lena is the daughter of John Anderson and Lillian Hooper. 5. May's friend (unknown) Hi Laverne I do think that tracking down the descendants of Jack Anderson and Lilian Hooper is your best bet. As said previously I can find Helena's 1910 and Thomas's 1913 births but no record of either Elizabeth or William. I have tried again to Identify a marriage for Helena but failed. If you recall I found a death for Lilian in 1957 which mentions her daughter L Murphy. See Attached. The L could be for Lena. The death was in Ballygeegan Townland which is south of Balloo house on the main road to Killyleagh. Lilian was living there at the time of her death possibly with her daughter? Mary Ann Burns was from Balloo and there could be family connections on the Burns side we know nothing of. I searched for Anderson Murphy marriages up to the 1945 limit but found none.
